Brawler FAQ

How many brawlers are there in Brawl Stars?

There are currently 108 brawlers in Brawl Stars. New brawlers are added regularly with seasonal updates, usually one or two per season.

How do you unlock new brawlers?

Most brawlers are unlocked with Credits through Brawler Blast, which replaced Starr Road in the September 2026 update: spending Credits unlocks a random brawler from a rarity pool, always with bonus progression on top. New brawlers arrive through their own release events first, and some brawlers can also be unlocked with Gems.

What is the rarest brawler rarity?

Ultra is the rarest rarity tier, with brawlers like Kaze. The full order from most common to rarest is: Starting Brawler, Rare, Super Rare, Epic, Mythic, Legendary, and Ultra.

What are star powers?

Star powers are abilities that unlock at power level 9 and take effect through your Super. You charge the Super by landing attacks, then fire it yourself, and the equipped star power comes with it. Each brawler has two or more star powers, and only one can be equipped at a time. They often define how a brawler is played at high level.

What are gadgets?

Gadgets are abilities that unlock at power level 7 and are triggered manually, separately from your Super. There is no limit on how many times you can use one in a battle, only a cooldown between uses, for effects like dashes, heals, or reloads.

Which brawler should I play first?

Start with the brawlers you already own at higher power levels. Shelly, Colt, and Nita are strong early picks, and tanky brawlers like El Primo and Rosa are forgiving while you learn maps and modes.
