Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how BrawlMetrics ("we", "us", "our", or the "Website") collects, uses, and protects information when you visit or use our website.
1. Overview
BrawlMetrics is an unofficial, fan-made statistics and tracking website for the game Brawl Stars. The Website provides publicly available game data and analytics for informational and entertainment purposes.
We do not require user accounts. We store publicly available player data described in Section 2.1, which may qualify as personal data under EU law and is handled accordingly.
2. Information We Collect
2.1 Player Tags, Usernames, and Public Game Data
When you use the Website to search for players or clubs, we process and store publicly available in-game data obtained via the official Supercell public API, including:
- Player usernames
- Player tags
- Club information
- Publicly available statistics (such as trophies, brawlers, brawler levels, battle data, and related metrics)
This data may be cached and stored to improve performance, generate aggregate analytics (such as brawler usage statistics and leaderboards), and provide historical insights.
When a player profile is viewed on the Website, we store that player's tag, username, trophies, icon and club name, along with the tags and usernames of the players in their last 25 battles. When a club profile is viewed, we store the same details for every member. This builds a searchable index so profiles can be found by name, and it is retained indefinitely. If you want a tag removed from it, contact us using the details in the Contact section.
To generate aggregate brawler statistics, we also periodically retrieve the battle logs of a sample of players from Supercell's public API, whether or not they have used this Website. Each battle is counted into aggregate statistics and then discarded. We keep the tags of sampled players, with their rank and trophies, so we can continue sampling them.
We do not collect private account credentials, email addresses, or any non-public personal information.
2.2 Automatically Collected Information
When you visit the Website, certain information is collected automatically, including:
- IP address
- Browser type and version
- Device type and operating system
- Pages visited
This information is used for security, analytics, performance optimization, and abuse prevention.
3. How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Operate and maintain the Website
- Provide player search functionality
- Improve performance and user experience
- Protect against fraud, abuse, and security threats
- Comply with legal obligations
We process this data on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating the Website and providing player statistics.
4. Third-Party Services
The Website relies on trusted third-party services, including but not limited to:
- Supercell public APIs (game data)
- Cloudflare (content delivery, security checks, and Web Analytics, which uses no cookies)
- Hosting providers (for the Website, its database and server logs)
These third parties may process data in accordance with their own privacy policies.
5. Data Retention
Player and club data in the searchable index, and the tags of sampled players, are retained indefinitely. Individual battles are not stored, apart from a one-way fingerprint used to avoid counting a battle twice, which is deleted after 10 days. Tags of players found in battles but not yet sampled are deleted after 14 days. Aggregate statistics contain no personal data. IP addresses are held in memory for up to 60 seconds for rate limiting. Server logs may record the IP addresses of requests that fail security checks, and are kept only as long as needed for security and troubleshooting.
6. Data Security
We take reasonable measures to protect the player data collected through the Supercell public API, including usernames and tags.
However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Cookies and Tracking Technologies
The Website sets no cookies of its own. Cloudflare may set a security cookie (cf_clearance) after its bot check, which lasts up to one year. It protects the Website from abuse and is not used for tracking. Cloudflare Web Analytics operates without cookies. You can control or delete cookies through your browser settings.
8. Children's Privacy
The Website is not intended for children under the age of 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children.
9. International Users
The Website is accessible globally. Some third-party services used by the Website may process data on servers outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States. Where this happens, these providers rely on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses.
10. Your Rights
If you are in the EU or UK, you have the right to request access to your personal data, request its correction or deletion, object to or restrict its processing, and request data portability. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. See the Contact section below to get in touch.
11. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time.
Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date.
