How to get Wendy in Brawl Stars in one line: play the Windstock New Brawler Event, running now through September 3, 2026, win matches with the free Tickets it hands out, and open 14 Wendy Boxes to unlock her without spending anything. Each Ticket win-twice cycle earns one Wendy Box, and Wendy Boxes can also be bought directly with Gems if you want to skip the grind. Miss the event window and she is not gone for good: Wendy moves onto the Starr Road afterward, where Credits unlock her like any other brawler, with a one-week priority window right after the event to redirect Credits you already saved.

How to unlock Wendy

Wendy is a Mythic brawler, and Mythics unlock through the same box system Nori shipped under a few weeks earlier: log in during the event for free Tickets (they do not stack, so use the day’s Tickets or lose them), spend a Ticket and win twice to earn one Wendy Box, and once you have opened 14 Wendy Boxes total, Wendy unlocks automatically. That threshold scales with rarity, Epic brawlers need 12 boxes and Legendary or Ultra Legendary need 20, so 14 is specifically the Mythic number.

  • Free Tickets are handed out daily for the length of the Windstock event; they refill each day but do not carry over.
  • A Ticket plus two wins converts into one Wendy Box.
  • Opening the 14th Wendy Box unlocks Wendy for free, no Gems required.
  • Wendy Boxes can also be bought outright with Gems if you would rather pay than grind out the wins.

After the event: Starr Road and Starr Drops

If you have not reached 14 boxes by the time the Windstock event ends on September 3, 2026, Wendy is still not out of reach. She moves onto the Starr Road immediately afterward, the normal Credits-based unlock system, and for the first week there you can redirect Credits you had saved for another brawler straight at her. Miss that priority week too, and she simply becomes one more Mythic option to save Credits toward, unlocked the same way as any brawler already in the game.

Separately, general Starr Drops, the ones from daily wins, the Trophy Road, Brawl Pass and Pro Pass tiers, and quests, can occasionally roll a brawler outright. That chance is shared across every brawler at a given rarity, not something aimed at Wendy specifically, so treat it as a bonus if it happens rather than a plan to rely on. Gems can also unlock any brawler already on the Starr Road instantly, Wendy included, but the price scales with your progress toward her rather than being one flat number.

Who is Wendy?

Wendy - Brawl Stars brawlerWendy is a Mythic support built around shields rather than raw stats. She has the lowest base health of any brawler in the game, but her attack shields both herself and an ally on every hit, and her Super drops a turbine that redirects most incoming damage away from her team instead of just blocking it. She is not a brawler you play to win fights alone, she is one you play to keep four other health bars up. For her full kit, current win rate, and build recommendations, see Wendy's brawler page.

Should you rush Wendy or wait?

Because Wendy is Mythic rather than Legendary, the free path is realistic: 14 boxes at two wins per box is around 28 wins, doable inside the event’s several-week window without spending a single Gem. Rush her with Gems if you specifically need her before September 3, for a Brawl Pass push, a friendly wager, or just because you do not want to wait. Otherwise, waiting costs you nothing permanent. You lose the guaranteed-free event path and the one-week Credit-redirect window, but she stays reachable afterward through ordinary Starr Road progress. If your Credits are already earmarked for a brawler you want more, there is no need to break that plan just for Wendy.
